VIVA
The Swedish Maritime Organization has a new website ViVa where you can find wind- and water information. Along the Swedish coast line and lake Vänern there are measuring stations that provides up to date information about average wind speed, wind gust, wind direction and water level and in a chart you can see last week's figures. Just choose one of the red buttons on the map to see the information. For information about Gothenburg the red button Karet is the best one.
The service is free and the web dress to ViVa is http://vivakarta.sjofartsverket.se/. You might have to install the application Microsoft Silverlight on your browser, if you do not have it you will be asked to install it the first time you visit ViVa. You can also download it to your phone as an app from App Store or Android Market
